Yoram Porath was born in Hofit, a small community on the Mediterranean coast of Israel. He graduated his photography degree in 1999 at the Hadassah College of Technology in Jerusalem. Since than, he works as a freelance photographer for various journals and companies. He combines his passion for meeting new people cultures and locations, with his love for Photography. The last years he has join his skills as a reporter to make various photography essays for geographical magazines. His working experience ranges from people and cultural photography to landscapes Archaeology architecture and industrial images.

As an artist, Yoram utilizes the medium of Photography to explore and examine the essence of classic imagery, as its limits change in the era of advanced technologies. In his work he combines political and social issues with his personal emotions.
